Effie is a fluffy black/brown older lady (around 12 or so years old) with the biggest green eyes; she weighs around 4kg. She’s been in her foster home since the beginning of January. She was caught as a feral cat to be spayed over 10 years ago and went onto being adopted. Her exact age is unknown, but she still looks like a kitten to us. With her past of being a feral girl, she does hold her own when it comes to her personal space and socialising with other pets. She’s grown used to being handled, picked up and groomed by her fosterers, but she will tell you if she doesn’t like something. In her foster home, she currently lives with two other younger cats and a dog, which, if she isn’t bothered or they encroach on her personal space, they get along. She has shown very little interest in playing with them, but has occasionally shown signs of affection by letting one of the other cats groom her & nuzzling up alongside the dog. She has had visiting younger children, whom she has run to and gotten on with from the start. She really is very sociable with her foster humans, she follows them around, comes when her name is called and sleeps with them in bed every night. She is currently on a mixed hypoallergenic diet. She loves her wet food more than her kibble, but she will graze throughout the day on her biscuits. Due to her past, she will also scavenge for scraps. Stress can cause her to have an unsettled tummy but this is something which has been monitored and checked by the vets and is being managed with her diet. Her favourite pastimes are spent sleeping on the windowsill/beds or anything soft & warm, she also loves to sit and watch the birds. Unlike her foster siblings, she has no interest in climbing and can sometimes struggle to get up onto the counters to get her food. Due to her old age, she sometimes needs to be picked up to be fed, but in a home without a dog, she would happily eat from her bowl on the floor. Effie really is a princess who likes to take things calmly, and on her terms. Once settled, she really is a companion and is a pleasure to be around, as you are rewarded with snuggles, purring and sweet chirps of affection.

Tilly And Willow

Tilly and Willow are a playful pair looking for their forever home! Tilly (black, 4 years old, neutered, microchipped) settled into her foster home straight away. She is a confident, loving, outgoing cat who loves to lounge in the sun and watch the world go by. She will purr very loudly if you give her some good strokes and goes crazy for catnip toys! Willow (grey, 2 years old, neutered, microchipped) was very shy initially but has really blossomed since settling into her foster home. She is still getting used to loud noises and new people, but once she feels safe, she will jump up onto your lap and headbutt your hands to ask to be stroked. Willow loves to chase toys and can be entertained for hours by anything that rolls across the floor. They are a charming, happy pair who get on with each other well, particularly enjoying hide and seek around the living room. They both enjoy relaxing on the sofa with you at the end of the day, getting stroked, purring loudly, and taking a nap next to you. Tilly and Willow would be an entertaining and loving addition to a home with careful, older children and no other pets.
